The Wapiti Elk seemed, if not tame, used to people around them. As long as you did not disturb them you could photograph and study them. It was a great moment, the last day, when we spotted them as silhouettes on the top of a hill.
Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the Yellowstone elk!
ReplyDeleteYou're right - the silhouette shots are very special. I also like the one where it appears that the make elk is keeping close watch in his harem while they take a break! Happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots! The silhouette really is splendid. It's been a while since I visited Yellowstone...due to the crowds, but maybe it's time to just go anyway! I enjoyed watching elk in Rocky Mountain NP this past fall...really a treat.
