Fallow deer

The lighthouse Långe Jan with three kinds of swallows, Swifts, House Martins and Barn swallows.
But most of them were swifts this evening.

It was rather late and the sun was low. The Common Swifts had a hard time in the hard wind from the Baltic sea.  For a moment they actually stood still in the air,but then they angled slightly and went off with great speed.

  1. Hello, great variety of birds and critters. I love the oystercatcher and swifts. I hope the sheep on the stays safe, pretty horse. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

  2. Ah so you're in Sweden that's cool. It's funny to think of birds being tossed around by the wind. Nice shot of the lighthouse and the birds around it. I've never seen an oystercatcher, what a fitting name from the look of its beak. Such colorful and lively captures.

  3. Another exceptional post. Amazing shots of the swifts!! I know how challenging it is to get them in focus as they fly and circle the sky!! A job well done.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us birders this weekend, at I'd Rather B Birdin'!!

  4. Lovely animals you met... my favorite photo is #7.
    Have a good new week

  5. Beautiful photos of the wildlife in your area. I love watching swallows dip and dive.

  6. I'm alway impressed with your photos, but to capture a Swift in flight , that is awsome.
    Have a good week Gordon.

  7. What a beautiful variety of photos. Your subjects are certainly awesome.
